About Robert Moser

Robert Moser Nebraska Racing and Gaming

Robert Moser Nebraska City has been a prominent leader in Nebraska's horse racing and gaming industry for decades. As President of the Nebraska Horsemen's Benevolent and Protective Association (HBPA) and a leader with Omaha Exposition and Racing (OER), he became a key advocate for preserving live racing and modernizing the state's tracks.

A lifelong Nebraskan, Robert Moser was influenced early on by his father, Robert L. Moser Sr., a respected breeder. Following that tradition, he became a thoroughbred owner and breeder himself, with horses such as Sing Charmer Sing and Going Platinum reflecting his active involvement in the sport.

Leadership & Legacy

HBPA President

As HBPA president, Bob Moser represented owners, trainers, and backstretch workers across the state. He worked with tracks including Fonner Park, Horsemen's Park, Columbus, and Lincoln Race Course to secure race dates and contracts, often during challenging financial times.

Casino Expansion Advocate

He championed casino expansion, arguing that racinos—casinos tied to racetracks—were critical for racing's survival. His vision helped lay the groundwork for projects such as the WarHorse casinos in Lincoln and Omaha.

Today, Robert Moser Nebraska City is remembered as a resilient advocate whose leadership and vision left a lasting mark on Nebraska racing and gaming.
